Yash Verma

I'm a Full Stack Developer at CashKaro (India's largest cashback platform), where I've built a credit card recommendation pipeline covering 140+ cards, a 2-tier Redis caching layer that cut API response times from ~5s to under 15ms, and a full insurance backend with RBAC, MFA, and encrypted audit logging.

I'm double AWS certified — Solutions Architect Associate and Cloud Practitioner — and an active open-source contributor: ranked 304th of 27,000+ in GSSoC 2024 and served as a GSSoC 2025 Project Admin for my own project. My toolkit spans JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C++, SQL, and the modern React + Node.js ecosystem.

Full Stack Developer

CashKaro, Gurugram

  • Architected a 1,500-line credit card recommendation pipeline (Node.js/Express) that filters 140+ cards across 5 scoring modes — cross-sell, complement, replace, optimize, discover — serving personalized results to CashKaro's user base.
  • Optimized the calculate API from ~5s to under 15ms with a 2-tier caching layer (in-memory L1 + Redis L2) and auto-sync cron, cutting DB queries by 95% on warm cache hits.
  • Built a brand-level savings engine computing per-brand cashback with 3-tier rate selection (accelerated → optimal → base) and cascading caps, replacing a flat-rate model and improving accuracy across 140+ cards.
  • Developed a full-stack insurance backend (Node.js, Sequelize, MySQL) integrating 2 insurer APIs via a provider registry pattern — quotes, KYC, proposals, payments, and policy lifecycle across 9 API modules and 25+ models.
  • Implemented an RBAC admin system with JWT + MFA (TOTP), granular permission-based access control, and encrypted audit logging for SOC-2 compliance readiness.
